I am excited about the chance of serving our great City and the citizens of District 5 on the Memphis City Council! Memphis is at a crucial turning point, and there is a distinct need for professional, diligent, and balanced leaders in city government.
Even with all the difficult challenges our City faces, I believe the best is yet to come. We must continue to look for innovative ways to attract diverse talent, new businesses, and grow our local economy. In order to achieve those things, our city must be safe; and to be safe, we need to have the proper tools to combat crime. Another strong component for any city to be successful is a robust education system. Even though the City is no longer fiscally responsible for education, we have to do all that we can to ensure our children—and people of all ages—have access to the tools necessary to help them be successful in a 21st century economy.
Thanks for visiting my campaign website. I look forward to discussing more about our City’s future as the campaign continues. I hope you will sign up to join our effort. We can’t do it without you!
Be the Good.
I am eager to meet voters across our city over the coming months to share my vision about how we can make our neighborhoods safer, our schools stronger, and our economy more robust. I hope to bring a young professional’s perspective to the City Council to ensure the future is bright for Memphis’ coming generations by building upon the foundation that has been laid by so many great Memphians.
Every child deserves a world-class education that prepares them for the challenges of an ever-increasing technological world. Economic development and crime rates both improve when citizens are better educated.
Strong economic development is crucial to the success of any city. Together, we must work to attract new talent and strengthen our talented, educated workforce currently here to further enable them to meet the standards of a demanding, competitive economic climate.
Unfortunately, crime is an issue that touches every part of our community, and we must continue to do all that we can to ensure our streets and our neighborhoods are safe. I look forward to tackling this issue throughout my campaign.
